Project Description
Located in Darabad, Tehran, this project aims to improve accessibility, promote public transportation, and reduce vehicle traffic for workers. The site’s linear constraints inspired a creative design approach focused on the interplay of light, color, and space, with natural daylight serving as a key element to enhance energy efficiency and occupant well-being.
The building features interlocking octagonal plazas that form a dynamic zigzag pattern, while sustainable strategies such as daylighting, solar heat control, and natural ventilation are integrated throughout.
The vertical plan arrangements create strategic voids or internal spaces, optimizing airflow and visual connections between levels. Four buffer zones and a central atrium utilize the stack effect to optimize airflow—expelling warm air in summer and conserving heat in winter—resulting in a healthy, energy-efficient environment that meets both functional and environmental goals.
